Wisear and ThirdEye Gen partner to Augment Mixed Reality Solutions for Enterprises with Hands-free and Voice-free Controls.

ThirdEye Gen and Wisear kick off a strategic collaboration to explore the convergence of neural interface-based controls with the advanced capabilities of mixed reality for industrial and military customers.

TL:DR: Wisear, a pioneer in neural interface applied to XR technology, and ThirdEye Gen, a leading manufacturer of MR and AI smart glasses for enterprises and the military, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to kick off an exclusive collaboration. This partnership aims to explore how to merge their technologies for augmenting ThirdEye Gen smart glasses with instant, unobtrusive and private controls that are fully hand-free and voice-free, and therefore better answer the needs of ThirdEye Gen existing and future clients such as the US Army and enterprise giants like Verizon. Both companies will be present at AWE EU on October 24-25 to present their respective products.

PRINCETON, N.J. & Paris, France - October 17, 2023. — Wisear, the groundbreaking tech company renowned for its instant, unobtrusive, and private control solutions based on Neural Interface, announced today a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ThirdEye Gen, Inc., a leading developer in the augmented reality/mixed reality sector. This alliance promises to combine the expertise of both companies, paving the way for transformative experiences in the MR for Entreprises industry.

With a common goal of making mixed reality more intuitive, hands-free and user-friendly, both companies will delve into exploring the potential of integrating Wisear's technology into the ThirdEye Gen ecosystem. This strategic alignment will further facilitate the study of compatibility, joint product development, shared partnership opportunities, and clientele.

Yacine Achiakh, Co-founder and CEO of Wisear, remarked, "

This MOU represents a landmark in our pursuit to seamlessly integrate Mixed Reality into both our daily routines and professional spheres, ensuring it's as intuitive as it is hands-free. Partnering with ThirdEye Gen offers us a chance to fuse our Neural Interface controls with top-tier MR glasses. This collaboration will let us evaluate the transformative impact of a novel User Interface in the most rigorous settings — from the military and healthcare sectors to industrial applications."

Nick Cherukuri, CEO of ThirdEye Gen, added,

"ThirdEye has always been at the forefront of innovation, pushing the boundaries of what AR/MR can achieve. With Wisear's unique neural interface solutions, we're looking forward to exploring new horizons, differentiating our MR and AI solutions with truly hands free controls that will fulfill the demanding needs of our clients."

The potential use cases stemming from this partnership are manifold:

  • Defense Solutions: By incorporating Wisear's control technology, the US Army personnel utilizing ThirdEye's AR/MR systems could gain improved operational efficiency during their missions. This could allow soldiers to instantly pull up strategic data, maps, or communication channels without the need for manual inputs or vocal commands, especially crucial during covert operations.
  • Enterprise Applications: Organizations like Verizon can provide their frontline workers with enhanced hands-free experiences. Whether it's accessing schematics, diagrams, or getting remote expert guidance, the combination of Wisear's controls and ThirdEye's AR/MR tools can drastically reduce downtime and errors.
  • Healthcare: Building upon ThirdEye's commitment to healthcare, as seen with their recent $25M contract with a major hospital system, Wisear's technology can make telemedicine more intuitive. Imagine a surgeon getting real-time augmented feedback during a procedure without needing to touch a screen or a device.

A highlight of this collaboration will be Wisear's appearance as a speaker at the Augmented World Expo EU on October 24-25. The event will offer a platform to showcase the potential of this type of strategic partnerships in Achiakh’s talk on stage about ‘Neural Interfaces: the Need of a New Human/Machine Interface to Unlock AR’

While ThirdEye Gen brings to the table its extensive experience in the AR/MR domain with applications trusted by the US Military and large organizations, Wisear provides the distinctive advantage of hands-free technology. This partnership promises users a more efficient, secure, and immersive experience without relying solely on voice controls.

For both companies, this partnership is a strategic alignment of values, innovation, and a shared vision for the future of mixed reality.
